Why doesn’t the present owner of Twitter just uncover the account owner? I mean he’s burning the place to the ground anyway. Maybe he could get Taibi on it.
I've already gotten a frantic call tonight, after the charges were released, from someone decrying Trump's innocence and telling me that a race war is starting. All the informational references are to "someone on The Five" or "someone on Tucker". At some point the obsession with Trump (and more specifically conservatism) becomes abusive towards those of us living around these people. I try my hardest not to engage and then am told that I'm being unkind by not responding to their questions. I try to reason with them and invariably go down a vortex of insanity.
I feel like I’m trapped in either middle school or a psych ward, reading the discourse people are actually engaging in - and publicly! Not for the first time I wonder; how do they pass a driver’s license exam? how to they pay their bills on time? how do they remember to eat? This is a level of rank stupidity I’ve never dealt with until MAGA toxicity infected a surprising portion of Americans. It’s a disease. A disease of the mind and spirit.
Well, THAT was a remarkably unenlightening indictment. We all get to wait to find out what the crime covered up was. The indictment doesn't say, though the prosecutor mentioned in court the violation of elections laws.
The 34 counts are divided into 11 groups of three, based on invoices (one has and extra item)
--falsification of records relating to Cohen's invoices
--falsification of the Detailed General Ledger and a voucher connected to it
--falsification of some aspect of the checks issue to Cohen.
I hope some accountant will enlighten us on what a Detailed General Ledger/voucher is and how it relates to the invoice and check.
While everyone is going "pish tish, a minor issue" it's worth noting that if the maximum sentence if found on each COUNT the max would be 136 years. If just on each GROUP it's still 44 years. From trump's point of view, the consequence are by no means minor.
I don't do social media, but after reading this I realize I'm missing out on a great opportunity and have been for some time. I have no desire to be an influencer and would do poorly as a content creator myself. But I have a couple of great content creators standing in their stalls digesting their evening hay as I type this, and they're capable of dropping a load of content every few hours just like clockwork. I don't think that I can handle both the Trump crazy and the MTG crazy at the same time. They only amplify each other.
